Why I Insist on Making the NAZI Connections

I have now had several close friends question my stance on my comparison of modern America to 1930’s Germany.  In some cases, I think my friends simply do not believe the comparison is accurate.  I don’t think they see it.  However, in most cases, I understand that they think I am alienating myself: losing potential audience by taking too strong of a stance.  They believe the stigma of NAZI Germany is too ostracizing, and that I turn people off by using it.  I understand that my friends’ reasoning, and that their advice is born of love and concern.  They think I could be more effective if I moderate my message and my stance because I will reach more people.  Sadly…
