So, What Do We DO?

Every time I am on a talk radio show, or speak to a group, or even post a blog piece pointing out how far we have gone off the rails, I have people ask me:

“So, what do we do?’

And, every time people ask me what we do about the decay in our society, I give them the same answer:

“The solution is, ‘Revival or bust!'”

Do you know how the majority of people react to my answer to their question about what we have to do to save this nation and our way of life?

I suppose, if the People said the Gospel was too hard to listen to, I shouldn’t be surprised when they say my solution to our problems is too hard. After all, I am telling them to return to the same thing they rejected when Yeshua said it. Fortunately, our Founders actually embraced Yeshua’s Word, which is why this nation prospered for so long.

But that’s the biggest part of the problem: too many people are convinced the Bible had nothing to do with our Founding. After all, Our Founders were ‘deists,’ right? Wrong! This lie is why I have written about what the Founders actually believed, and why they said the Bible is the foundation of Liberty in a free and self-governing society. This was the motivation behind my last post on this subject:

Sadly, few of you bothered to read that post. I don’t have that many followers (which is actually a compliment to me), but I watch the statistics on my administration page, and I can see what you are reading. I cannot see who is reading my posts, but I can see how many people have read each post. Whenever I write about the Founders and Scripture, that post is among the least read. The only posts I write that are read less are those that are specifically about Scripture, itself. It’s funny. If they were still alive and following my blog, I suspect the posts I write that the Founders would be reading most would be those about Scripture, then the posts about how Scripture is the key to Liberty. The Founders would be the exact opposite of what we are, today. Yet, somehow, we think we can still ‘save’ this country??? HA!

This nation was dedicated to YHWH, by President Washington. More than that, Washington made a covenant with YWH. Setting everything else aside, that makes us YHWH’s People, and YHWH’s Word is very clear about what His People must do if they want their land healed:

2 Chronicles 7:14 New American Standard Bible

¹³ If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send a plague among My people, ¹⁴ and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Most people will read this passage and say it doesn’t apply because we’re not dealing with a drought, locust or plagues. I know because I’ve heard them say it — even ‘believers’ have said this to me. It breaks my heart when I hear these objections because it just shows how ignorant they are of Scripture and how to read it, which is why I write posts trying to help people properly understand the Scriptures. For example: rain is symbolic of blessings; locust is symbolic of outside enemies; and plague is symbolic of physical or moral disease. When we understand this, we can see that YHWH has sent all three to our nation, and we are currently suffering from the effects of all three. And yet, even believers will tell me that 2 Chronicles 7:14 does not speak to what we have to do to obtain YHWH’s blessings once again.

Well, I’m not going to budge. From now on, whenever someone asks me, “What do we do?” I’m just going to link them to this post and leave it at that.
