This is a serious question for whoever reads this post:
Do blogs like The Road to Concord do any good in our society?
I ask this because, try as I might to do my part, it seems that society is becoming less rational every day. People such as myself can beat ourselves to death trying to explain how reason works, and how to apply reason to current events so that we can make informed, rational decisions; yet, the people who listen to and read our work seem to be going in the exact opposite direction. So why should any of us bother wasting our time?
THIS POST WAS INSPIRED BY THE ON-GOING COUP IN OUR GOVERNMENT
Please explain this to me:
The Russian Collusion ‘investigation’ has made it public knowledge that the Steele dossier was created by foreign intelligence operatives hired by and paid by Hillary Clinton. It was then planted inside the Trump campaign by the FBI and U.S. Intelligence community. Afterward, this fake document was knowingly used to unlawfully obtain a search warrant to spy on Trump (the exact same thing Nixon did, just in a different way). Then, when Trump won the election, they used this fake information to accuse Trump of colluding with the Russians when the evidence — now in the public record — shows that Obama and Hillary are the ones who actually colluded with the Russians.
This is a coup, folks. It is illegal. Everyone involved should have been arrested and tried for collusion. But nothing was done to them. So, now, they have put forward another Democrat operative who has been assigned the false status of ‘whistle-blower.’ I say fake because the person in question has no first-hand knowledge of the thing they have allegedly reported. This means it is hearsay. Hearsay is not allowed in a U.S. court. Furthermore, the Inspector General’s office has said this person is politically motivated, therefore, they are not credible. yet, the Democrats, the Republican leadership and the media have all reported this as ‘proof’ of treason. In reality, it is just the exact same thing they tried with the Russian collusion hoax, it’s just in a different form. Same exact pattern, different specific details.
HERE’S THE PROBLEM
No one cares!
I can explain this until it kills me. Others can do the same. But who is listening? And, if they hear, why do they not believe? Why are so many people in this nation choosing to go insane instead? And yes! I mean they are literally choosing to go insane. Any person who accepts, embraces or advances the narrative that is being put forth by the enemies of Trump are literally accepting falsehoods as reality. That is the definition of delusion, which is a characteristic of insanity.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN I AM DEFENDING TRUMP
I am not defending Trump. Long-time readers of TRTC know that I have never supported Trump, but I have always sought the truth. And, in this case, the truth is: Trump has not done what his enemies are accusing him of doing. The evidence actually supports charges against the people who are attacking him, yet, no one cares.
SO WHY FIGHT THIS ANYMORE?
So, this leaves me with this question: If Americans would rather live in a fairy-tale world, a world where they are animals and not human beings (animals follow pure desire, humans are ruled by reason)., then why should I or anyone else try to convince them to turn away from the cliff? Why not just let the lemmings jump off to their deaths?
THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE
The answer is simple: because the few humans left among the lemmings will be killed along with the lemmings as they carry us over the cliff with them. Mind you, it will be against my will and the will of all others like me. We have no desire to become animals, or to jump off the cliff in a fit of insanity. It’s just that we are part of the same society so, when the lemmings commit national suicide, we will be killed along with them. And lest the reader think I jest, history records that, when the folks who are orchestrating all of this finally gain control, they typically kill every free thinker they can find. This is because they know we represent the Truth, and the Truth is the only thing that can threaten their new rule over the masses. Thus, we must be killed. Which is why Obama’s buddy, Bill Aires, was and remains committed to their original goal:
If you think the people this informant were reporting on have gone away, you could not be more wrong. They are the very same people who are now in control of our schools, Hollywood and the entertainment media, the ‘News’ media, the government and the Deep State. Their goal has not changed. They seek to establish a Communist dictatorship. They have openly said so since the time of Woodrow Wilson. Only, today, it will be some 35 million people who will have to be ‘re-educated’ or ‘eliminated.’
But many of us have tried to explain this, as well. Same result: the lemming animals call us crazy and charge for the cliff — dragging the sane humans with them.
THE ROAD TO CONCORD 
Blogs which seek truth, and thus must examine all sides of an issue, are less popular but potentially more meaningful. Most people seek blogs that support their own biases, and thus make no progress toward truth. If truth seekers tweet or email enough links to a particularly insightful post, that has the potential to move people from the lemming-herd into the rational group. So, we must know enough lemmings that we can send links around that have a good probability of being propagated, and our blogs must inspire or persuade those who ‘follow’ us to send such links to their acquaintances or followers.
Short answer? Yes, and no. As a tool for educating reasonable, thinking people, it has a lot of potential. As a tool for educating the insane who can’t see past their indoctrination? No impact.
But that’s OK.

I’m sorry, my friend, but I could not get past his opening position. I reject it. Besides, I suspect I would also reject his argument, as well. BUT I AGREE WITH THE PREMISE — just for a different reason.
This is the real issue: does a person recognize and submit to the Lord or not? If they do not, then they cannot see Truth — period! They are incapable of seeing it, which means they are incapable of learning it. In the secular world, you might say they cannot be taught: that reason will not work on them. But this is not true. People can learn, and they can reason — they just cannot reason CORRECTLY, which means they cannot find TRUTH!
I know this is a faith-based argument, but I have come to understand that it is also True — as in ‘Capital T’ Truth. Right Reason is the application of logic guided by Wisdom. Wisdom is the knowledge and fear of a transcendent Creator (i.e. God). Without that knowledge and fear of God, one cannot acquire Wisdom, and thus, one cannot reason correctly. This means that such a person cannot find the Truth and, even if they stumble upon it, they will not recognize or accept it. But it does not mean they cannot reason. It just means that they will be able to reason themselves into believing things that simply are not true, and they will never be able to see where and why they are wrong.
Our Founders knew this. They believed it. They tried to tell us that this was the secret to their success. Today, we have rejected God, so we cannot even see the Truth in what they did, why they did it and how they tried to hand it down to us. It is for this reason that I know this nation is now doomed, and why I wonder what — if any — good I can possibly do by continuing with this blog page.
Wow. Profound insight, as usual. The elephant in the room, and I completely missed it. We’ve become a lawless nation, without God, so no wonder we are descending into insanity. Staying at the level of the superficial psychological symptoms does nothing to address the lack of God and Right Living as the core root problem. Thank you for pointing this out.

I guess the answer comes down to principles. Speaking the Truth. Sharing the Word of God. Adherence to Reason. And wondering if openly practicing those principles through writing can accomplish anything good. If it shines the light for even one lost ship at sea, was it worth it to keep the lighthouse running? To that one lost ship, I’m sure it matters dearly…

Just a few minutes ago, He showed me the following scripture.
I did not go looking for this. This is not even the version of the Bible I own. Looking at other translations, they don’t have the same specific meanings (as applied to our conversation). But this particular translation, with this wording, was how it was shown to me as I was watching a video on a completely unrelated topic. I re-read the passages several times, doubtful that this would appear this way, after just having discussed it with you. But I know better, and I’ve learned to listen. His message is undeniably clear; a confirmation of our conversation here. I knew I was meant to pass it along, to give thanks that the veil has been removed, and reflect in the glory of the Lord. I believe blogs like yours will become the foundation of the new media. Blogs that seek truth are on the web all over the place. I’m not saying they all get it 100% right, but they are researching and reporting facts and trying to put the pieces together from a media that has ties to Global elites, who have committed sins of commission and omission for decades to expand an illusion of the world we live in. That illusion is falling apart because of the persistence and good work of people like you. The media has shaped reality to the point that people are becoming aware they are living in cognitive dissonance. They are realizing that they must start believing their eyes and ears, and this new media is pointing the way. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
