THIS is how the Party should deal with those who go against the promises it makes to its constituents.  And, unless and until I see a lot more of it from the Republicans, I will no longer support them.  I can’t.

I would like to see many more headlines like this one:

Montana GOP Purges 9 Turncoat Republican Senators for Backing Democrats, Says They Are No Longer Recognized as Republicans

The Executive Committee of the Montana Republican Party (MTGOP) has censured the nine Montana Senators as Republicans following their repeated alignment with Senate Democrats during the 69th Legislative Session. These Senators have undermined the Republican majority leadership and disregarded the will of Montana Republican voters.

IF it wants to be seen as a true opposition Party, the GOP needs to remember that it is a corporation and, as such, it controls its membership.  Until it starts to rid itself of people who refuse to keep the Party’s campaign promises, it is no better than the Democrat Party.  In fact, it may be worse.  The Democrats don’t try to hide their duplicity.  In fact, they openly embrace lying as a virtue.  It’s the GOP that claims to be different, better, then consistently demonstrates they are nothing of the sort.

So, for me, unless and until I see a lot more of this, I’m done with the GOP.
