CLASS #495, 497, 499+ HOMEWORK: Why An Unaccountable Judiciary Is An Inherent Threat To The U.S. Constitution

We are going to try a new approach to the way we teach on our web show. The first class of this new approach will be broadcast on Friday, March 14, 2025. We will start a study on the U.S. Constitution and the threat an unaccountable Judiciary poses to its continued existence. The following is an introduction to our study, as well as a list of the references and resources we will be using.

INTRODUCTION TO THIS STUDY

STEP 1

RECOGNIZE THAT WE HAVE BEEN DECEIVED

The first thing we need to understand is that we have been deceived. This is especially true where matters of the law and the U.S. Constitution are concerned. The source goes all the way back to Hamilton and the Federalists, but it’s modern incarnations can be traced to #woodrowfreakingwilson.

I’m talking about the false belief that we need ‘experts’ to tell us what the law is and what the Constitution does and does not say. This deception is at the heart of why we, as a nation, have found ourselves in our current Constitutional crisis. The truth of the matter is simple: we have been lied to by people who seek to control us. If they were to let us learn the truth about the law and the Constitution, then we would seem them as the usurpers they are and they would not be able to hold on to the power they have stolen. This truth is at the heart of the meme many of us have seen on line.

When the law becomes so complicated as to become unintelligible, it should be viewed as a sure sign of corruption. And when the only people who can decide what the Constitution does and does not mean wear black robes, it should be viewed as a sign of tyranny. It is only when those in power wish to hide what they are actually doing that they complicate things. We would do well to remember the proverb:

‘Oh what a tangled web we weave/When first we practice to deceive,’

STEP 2

EMBRACE YOUR CIVIC DUTY

Our founders stressed the importance of both the law and the Constitution being readily accessible to the common person. This is why they wrote in the language of the day, not in the contorted language of legalese. That this impulse to deceive for power was well known to our founders is demonstrated by the words of John Quincy Adams:

“Law logic — an artificial system of reasoning, exclusively used in courts of justice, but good for nothing anywhere else.”

It is the civic duty of every citizen who wishes to remain free under our system of government, as it was originally intended, to know and understand both the law and the Constitution. This is the only way each of us can know for certain when those we elect to govern our affairs are acting in accordance with the authority we grant them through our vote and when they are seeking to usurp power over us we did not grant to them. If we fail, or worse, refuse to execute this duty faithfully, then we have no justification to object when our rights are taken away. What’s more, posterity will be right to condemn our sloth and cowardice.

STEP 3

DO NOT DISMISS YOURSELF

the RTC believes all of us are more than capable of learning the purpose of the law and the original intentions of the U.S. Constitution. The truth can be obtained, it just takes a little time and effort. What’s more, The RTC believes both are well worth that time and effort. Therefore, The RTC proposes to demonstrate exactly how we might go about teach ourselves about the law and the Constitution. We just need a specific topic to study.

Given the recent lawlessness within our Judiciary, The RTC thought we might start by looking into the debate between the Federalists and Anti-federalists over the threat to the Constitution posed by an unaccountable Judiciary. The following is a list of references we will be using. Your ‘home work’ is to read through as much of the material as possible, but especially that of the Anti-federalists. We do not expect anyone to read through all of what we have provided. Blackstone would take several years all by itself. All we are asking is that you make an effort to familiarize yourself with Federalist 78 and the Anti-federalist essays we have listed. The rest is provided for those wishing to go deeper, or to verify the information we will be presenting in our study.
