It has become popular with our authoritarian masters to just assume a claim and then ‘punish’ the supposed guilty party for the purposes of control and/or plunder.  This is yet another example in this now all too common practice of plundering the producers among us.

Hochul Signs Bill That Will Fine Fossil Fuel Companies $75 Billion to Pay For Damage Caused to Climate

I have questions:

1 — The climate has been changing forever.  What I want to know is: when was it proven that Man is responsible for any perceived changes in the current climate?  By what standard(s) was it ‘proven?’ and who was behind the ‘proof?’

2 — If a company or industry is operating within the law and regulations of all the various government agencies responsible for preventing environmental damage, then shouldn’t those agencies be responsible for any damage to the climate?

3 — If it is actually proven that damage has been caused to the environment by a certain industry, how is a cost affixed to the industry determined?  What method(s) have been ‘proven’ to correct or repair this damage?  And how has it been demonstrated that that correct cost of that method(s) is being charged back to the otherwise lawfully operating industry?

The truth — and I mean objective, factual truth — is that, if the climate is actually changing, we (Man) have no idea as to what is causing it.  Unless and until we can explain how all the changes to earth’s climate happened before Man existed, then we cannot affix blame nor control for any effect Man may have on the climate today.  This is not ‘opinion;’ it is a matter of simple (and sound) science.

When the practice of fining industry for unproven damage to pay for reparations that have neither been defined nor demonstrated is considered next to the political ideology of the people levying those fines, a more likely explanation reveals itself.  Historically, this is how those who live off the plunder of the producers have acted throughout history.  Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that this is what is happening here.  This story is just the latest in a long string of plunders by the parasites of the world living off the labors of the producers.

The questions I have now are: why don’t we see this pattern?  Why do we allow it to continue?  And what are we going to do (if anything) to put a stop to it?
