Somehow I ended up here too, from @grok re the Bride and who Jesus came for. Lost means sleeping/dead and also those alive who were lost as in lost sheep.
Case in point. You’re awaiting the surgeon in the waiting room for your wife who had a Car accident. He comes out. He tells you they ‘lost’ your wife. Did they lose her as in they can’t find her? No. She died.
Same thing there. Jesus went to Sheol and married the first fruits and they rose with him in Matt 27:50-53.
