Here’s the story (you’ll need to read this to follow the rest of this post):
Now, do you understand the admission that was just made in this story?
For his entire career, Rush Limbaugh told his audience that tariffs and trade wars were bad and that they would end up hurting the U.S.. He even championed NAFTA, which hurt the U.S.. Now, here we are being told how tariffs and trade wars — when used properly — can help the U.S. economy as well as national security.
What does this mean?
RUSH LIED!
Now, I am not going to be gracious here and say Rush misunderstood, because he didn’t. He knew better. He just lied. Why?
TO KEEP YOU ON THE GOP RESERVATION!
And the GOP reservation is the Right Wing of the Progressive Bird — period!
Another area where Rush ‘mislead’ his audience is over a true 2nd Party. Rush refused to back a push for a 2nd Party. In fact, he opposed them, saying they would harm the GOP. But this is the same Rush who told us Americans live their lives ‘conservatively,’ and that they are the vast majority. He also said, when expressed correctly, conservatism is unbeatable. Finally, he said never let anyone tell you you can’t do something — unless it is to start a 2nd Party.
Do the math. If the majority of Americans are conservative, and conservative principles win when properly presented, then it stands to reason that a true 2nd Party should have been easy to start — especially with Rush supporting it. So why did he break with his expressed principles when it came to Party (and tariffs)? Because his ‘seasoned citizen’ caller in Oct 1994 was correct:
RUSH WAS PLANTED TO KEEP THE GOP VOTERS ON THE RESERVATION!
I tried to tell Dittoheads that Rush was not their friend, but they refused to listen.
Now, to quote Rush:
