EDITORIAL: How Can Man Claim Liberty If Man Cannot Or Will Note Vote Strategically?

Dear Patriot,

I have been thinking about the mid-term elections, and the many different voices arguing over how we must vote if we are to remain free.  It saddens me that I cannot find a single voice arguing principle over expediency.  I have to wonder: how much of this nearsightedness is to blame for the growing lawlessness in this world?

I understand the financial strains of the current economic condition in much of the world today.  I do not mean to make light of them.  However, neither do I wish to accept the surface-level explanations for the supposed causes of these strains.  One side would have me believe it is the result of a single man, whom that side hates and expects me to hate, as well.  While, that man would have me believe it is the result of all those who came before him, or of those who hate him without reason.  I, on the other hand, know to much to accept any of these excuses.  While I may not fully understand all the intricacies involved, I am painfully aware that we have been caught in a death spiral of knee-jerk, expedient reactions where no one is advocating for strategic thinking.  And that this death spiral represent demonstrative proof that Man cannot rule himself.

For example: if, every time economic stresses hit us personally, we vote against the people in power without stopping to consider the causes behind those economic strains, or the possible benefits that may result, we are demonstrating that we cannot be trusted to rule ourselves.

Why do I say this?  Well, WW II caused a great deal of economic strain for those in the ‘Free World,’ as well as the world, in general.  Just imagine what the world might be like if, rather than holding the coarse, American voters had voted against FDR, in favor of an isolationist.  Such a reactionary impulse would most certainly have resulted in a world far different than that of today; a world I would imagine would have been much worse and more dictatorial in nature than anything we have now.

A second example is the Vietnam war.  If we truly wished to stop the spread of Communism — and I would argue this would have been a worthwhile cause — then we should have conducted ourselves much differently.  Rather than allowing ourselves to be swayed by the Communist sympathizer in the U.S. media and university system, not to mention the Deep State, we would have held the line and demanded that the war be prosecuted more effectively, and we would have endured to cost with steel resolve.  But, as a nation, we chose to surrender to the very enemies we purported to be fighting.  We have been following this path ever since.

Today, we are being told that the cost of gasoline, and the inflation which results, is reason enough to vote against the Republicans.  How short are our memories?  Or are we that easily manipulated?  If the media can gaslight us about the effect of Democrat economic policy after having voted against it just two years ago, then — once again — we are demonstrating that Man cannot rule himself.

What is called for at this point in time is a mature population willing to accept its responsibilities as a free people, and willing to execute those responsibilities by voting strategically.  Yes, gasoline prices are high, but the cause is not just President Trump and the war with Iran.  It has more to do with the policies of anti-American forces within the U.S.. These forces can be found in both major Parties.  They seek to destroy individual rights and liberty, so they seek to destroy the middle class.  And the middle class depends, in large part, on abundant and cheap energy.  So, the anti-Americans force policies that make this all but impossible.  They tax fuel, limit drilling, refuse new refineries, ally with OPEC and other foreign oil producing powers who oppose America, and much more.

The list of how this is being done is long and integrated across multiple levels of society.  But do we, as Americans, bother to educate ourselves as to why gas prices are so high?  The evidence suggests the answer is, NO!  We simply look for the quick, easy excuse, then vote for whoever says they will do something about it — even if that person or Party is largely responsible for the problem in the first place.  And, by reacting this way every time we have an election, we demonstrate we are little more than sheep to be herded, and sheep cannot lead themselves.  They need a shepherd who, in every case of a decaying republic known to history, always ends up being a tyrant.

So, please, think about this before you vote.  Why — exactly — are you voting the way you are voting?  And what — exactly — are you voting for?  Is there an actual plan?  Has it been expressed?  Does the candidate or Party espousing that plan have a history of actually executing its promises?  Or do you plan to vote a certain way simply because that candidate wears your team’s colors?

As for me, I am going to vote strategically, based on the best understanding of the actual evidence I have.  I will not be persuaded by known liars pushing policies proven to have failed every time they are attempted.  Then, I will figure out how to survive in a world where the sheep — because the sheep outnumber us sheep dogs — how to live in a world where the sheep keep voting for wolves.

  1. These are the consequences of free will carelessly used. God knew He was taking a risk, that some would not use it well and would be lost due to their own selfishness and the Adversary’s efforts. The midterms may be the point when we witness the fulfillment of Matt. 13:24:30,36:43. Or perhaps a convincing prefiguration of it, since it seems not quite time for Armageddon to unfold.

    1. Thank you for your comment. Just as an aside: I have the comment section set so that I have to approve them before they post. Sadly, I had to set this policy to keep vulgar and profane slurs from being spammed to the board. That has ended, but good people still have to wait for me to approve their comments. Such is the result of free will being used to do wrong — just as you say. 🙁
